The project question: Is it possible for two artists with diverse backgrounds, who have never met
in person, collaborate in the creation of artworks which reveal a unified art principle; where the combined elements effectively communicate a shared vision? The selected artists were invited to explore this premise by utilizing cyber networks and digital processes. This project is a new exploration of the ongoing theme presented in "Remarques" and "You could be here!"
A fundamental challenge for the artists involved was to discover a pathway of harmony and unity in the creative process despite personal preferences regarding imagery, color, compositional balance, etc. Familiar zones of comfort were disrupted which required new methods of problem solving. Furthermore, working as a creative team required each artist to demonstrate a level respect and humility regarding the other person's contribution toward the common goal of a completed artwork.
